About

The world is full of cycling news, events, products, rides, shops, and people, and we just can’t keep up with all of them with our limited resources. Honestly, even if we could, there are so many well-established venues for world cycling news that we can’t imagine competing.

Instead, we’ve decided to narrow our focus and serve a community that’s been neglected: Midwestern cyclists.

In future issues, we will be focusing on the middle of our nation, a region known for cornfields, tornados, floods, and friendly people . . . but not for cycling. Having lived here for most of our lives, we know that there’s a lot of great riding to be had locally, but very few people discussing it.

Our goal is to change that in a big way.

The content of CogAndChain.com will stay essentially the same, with issues full of great photographs, videos, and writing covering a variety of topics, road, mountain, and commuter, but now focusing on the cycling secrets of Middle America.

But don’t worry. If you don’t live here, we’ll still like you.
